The Armed Forces Shootout is a U.S. 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to making a life-changing impact for U.S. Armed Forces Veterans.
100% proceeds benefit the Bird’s Eye View Project and their critical programs aimed at preventing veteran suicide and improving the overall public health of U.S. military veterans and their families. In 2024, the AFS raised over $24,000 to fund the BEVP’s critical research with the Dallas Brain Institute, to develop a comprehensive holistic guide to mental wellness for combat veterans.
In 2024, the AFS will host more than 30 U.S. active-duty and Armed Forces special warfare veterans at Abaco Beach Resort in Marsh Harbour, Bahamas for a life-changing weekend — participating as our field of AFS anglers, aboard world-renowned sportfishing yachts that generously donate their boat to host our U.S. veterans for the 2 days if tournament sportfishing.
The AFS provides all veteran anglers with an all-expense paid trip (including airfare, hotel accommodations, all meals and open bar) — Thanks to our generous sponsors, teams and donors.
